MATEKSYS GPS M10Q-5883 Overview

GPS M10Q-5883 is an advanced multi-constellation GNSS module powered by the renowned u-blox M10 series. This cutting-edge GNSS module is equipped with the u-blox M10 standard precision GNSS platform, delivering exceptional sensitivity and rapid acquisition time for all L1 GNSS signals.

The GNSS module supports concurrent reception of four GNSS systems, namely GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou. This enables the receiver to benefit from a high number of visible satellites, optimizing signal selection and maximizing position availability. This is particularly advantageous in challenging environments like deep urban canyons.

Leveraging u-blox Super-S (Super-Signal) technology, this module offers outstanding RF sensitivity. This technology significantly enhances dynamic position accuracy, especially in non-line-of-sight scenarios.

The module features a high-gain 15 x 15 mm² patch antenna, striking the perfect balance between performance and compact size. The omnidirectional radiation pattern of the antenna increases installation flexibility for devices. Equipped with a QMC5883L Magnetic Compass, this module operates on a 4~9V input voltage range, consuming only 13mA. With a default UART Baudrate of 9600, it functions seamlessly in temperatures ranging from -20~80 °C. Interfaces include UART (TX, RX) for GNSS and I2C (DA, CL) for the Compass QMC5883L. 

Visible with a Green LED, the GNSS PPS LED stays solid after powering on and blinks at 1Hz when the GNSS achieves a 3D fix. Supporting the UBX (u-blox) protocol at 5Hz for GPS, GAL, BDS B1C, and GLO, or NMEA 1Hz, this module measures 20mm x 20mm x 12.4mm and weighs a mere 8g.
