NAV40U Inertial Navigation System (INS)
NAV40U Inertial Navigation System (NAV40Ultra INS / NAV40U INS) is a dual antenna INS that integrates a three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer, three-axis magnetometer, GNSS receiving module, barometric altimeter, and other microsensors, along with a Drone Inertial Navigation System, to have an accurate estimate of the drone status. It uses the built-in improved extended Kalman filter (EKF) algorithm for information fusion, effectively reducing the impact of carrier maneuvers, vibration, ambient temperature and electromagnetic interference, and providing users with complete and reliable three-dimensional position, three-axis attitude, three-axis speed, three-axis acceleration and other information at up to 200Hz.
Application areas include UAVs, robots, marine areas, unmanned vehicles, unmanned ships, vehicles, and human posture measurement.
- High performance;
- Support RTCM and RTK
- Support dual antenna directionality
- Up to 200Hz navigation data update frequency
- Guaranteed accuracy over the full temperature range (-40°C-85°C)
- Support users’ customization of structure, size, and data format
NAV40U Inertial Navigation System (INS) – FAQ
1. What is the main function and design of the NAV40U INS?
The NAV40U (UltraINS) is a dual-antenna inertial navigation system integrating a 3-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer, GNSS module, and barometric altimeter. It provides real-time 3D attitude, position, and velocity data for UAVs, robotics, and marine vehicles.
2. What technologies and algorithms are integrated?
It uses an enhanced Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) algorithm for precise sensor fusion, minimizing the effects of vibration, temperature, and electromagnetic interference while maintaining accuracy up to 200 Hz update rate.
3. What features make the NAV40U unique?
It supports dual-antenna RTK positioning for high-precision heading, RTCM correction data, and user customization of structure, data format, and size. It delivers full-temperature-range accuracy from −40 °C to 85 °C.
